Our Partnership

The East and North Yorkshire Waterways Partnership was established in 2011 with funding from the Coast, Wolds, Wetlands, Waterways LEADER programme.  Using a ‘bottom up’ approach, the partnership encourages public, private, community and voluntary groups to work together and ensure that our inland waterways are integral to local economic, environmental and social regeneration.

The Waterways Partnership is governed by a constitution which formalises its structure and working processes. Central to this governance are the Executive Committee and Joint Forum.

Partners are kept informed about relevant issues, best practice and opportunities for funding through Joint Forum meetings, conferences, regular e-communications and links to regional catchment partnerships.  In addition, the partnership is involved in the development and delivery of projects which support the priorities set out in the Waterways Strategy 2012-20.
